Octagonal Blender
An octagonal rotating vessel that blends dry powders gently with minimal shear.
The Octagonal Blender rotates an eight-sided vessel to tumble powders gently, repeatedly folding the bed without the high shear of paddle-type mixers. This suits fragile granules where particle integrity matters as much as blend uniformity.

Designed with cGMP and xGMP principles in mind
Construction practices are intended to align with commonly accepted xGMP expectations for pharmaceutical process equipment — crevice-free welding, cleanable surfaces and appropriate contact-part finishing. TCS does not issue regulatory certification; compliance of installed equipment within a specific facility is subject to the customer's own validation and regulatory process. Subject to process requirement.
Why choose an octagonal shape over a cylindrical drum?
The flat faces of an octagonal vessel fold the powder bed more times per rotation than a cylinder, improving blend uniformity at low shear and low speed.
Is it suitable for lubrication blending (e.g. magnesium stearate)?
Yes, short-duration low-shear blending is well suited to lubricant addition steps.
What discharge options are available?
Butterfly valve or bin-discharge configurations can be engineered to the customer's downstream equipment.
